Location/Division Specific Information

Reports to Tewksbury, MA to the CAD Division. The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) offers a rich mix of analytical instruments and services to diverse markets, including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing, and Recycling. These instruments excel in challenging environments, prized for their robustness, reliability, and ease of use. CAD's global footprint, broad product portfolio, and diverse customer base make it a dynamic division.

Discover Impactful Work

As a Validation Technician, you will thrive in a production validation environment, setting up, validating, and modifying portable X-ray instruments. These instruments are pivotal in various industries, detecting and reporting elemental compositions. You'll master high-tech instrumentation and data acquisition systems, paired with industry-standard software.

A Day in the Life:

  • Validate and test X-ray instruments manually and on robotic systems with expert mentorship.
  • Connect instruments to network-based data systems to modify parameters.
  • Generate specifications and documentation for instrument checkpoints.
  • Process validation for multiple instruments simultaneously.
  • Prepare and handle test samples according to SOPs.
  • Adhere strictly to ISO9000 requirements and maintain area cleanliness.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and improvement events.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree, Certification, or equivalent work experience in a technical field preferred.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting.
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing concepts is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively resolving issues.
  • Understands and adheres to SOP and company policies, with integrity.
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Electronics manufacturing setting with PPE requirements, including but not limited to safety glasses and closed-toed footwear.
  • Adherence to ESD quality standards.
  • Regular use of a range of motion, including prolonged sitting, standing, and bending.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unaided.
