As an experienced UX developer in our group, you will serve as a technical leader to help develop and maintain our design system. You will also focus on building positive relationships with multi-functional team members and business partners to drive the adoption and scalability of our solutions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • You will build modular, performant, and accessible components and patterns in close collaboration with the UX Design team.
  • Be responsible for the design system infrastructure; deploy code, integrate with products, deliver documentation, and lead change in the codebase.
  • Lead development and publication strategy for design systems and serve as an advisor for our frontend UI to teams, designers, and leadership
  • Assist product leads in defining new features and translating technical requirements, communicate status and open issues.
  • Participate in production deployment aiding as is needed.
  • Prototype and develop new insights and participate in all parts of the lifecycle from research to release.
  • You will independently learn new technologies and be involved with identifying and resolving problems.

KEYS TO SUCCESS

  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Software, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional front-end development around the user experience following the newest technologies and practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Hands-on UI engineering experience with a focus on front-end development and web components technology
  • Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and well stablished UX patterns
  • Familiarity with responsive layout and mobile first oriented implementations, accessibility, and user interactions
  • Advanced understanding of JavaScript frameworks with front-end development tools (e.g. React, Angular, Ember, Vue.js, etc) and the latest web architectures and asynchronous service-to-service communication and API management
  • Experience with CSS-preprocessors (e.g. Sass or Less)
  • Experience handling human-readable data-serialization language (e.g. YAML, JSON)
  • Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub actions), continuous delivery infrastructure and version control system
  • Experience working within an Agile and Scrum based development model
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent teammate with strong verbal & written communication skills
