Job Description

We are looking for a User Experience Design Intern to join our team and help design intuitive, efficient, and impactful user experiences for desktop and web applications in the field of electron microscopy. You should have some experience with UX design, and it would be a bonus if you have studied design thinking and understand the function of user research.

You will work closely with the user experience professionals and product teams to prioritize customer needs and help design a strategy that is simple, consistent, and, most important easy to use.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with the UX team of designers and user researchers on the design of software solutions using wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing user feedback through research studies, including surveys, usability tests, and moderated interviews.
• Help with user interface design review and user feedback evaluation to improve the user interface.
• Assist in creation user stories, journey maps, and personas.

• Knowing user experience principles and standards.
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about UX design and user research methods and techniques.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with one of the prototyping tools (preferably Figma)
• Currently pursuing a degree in Technology, User Experience Design and/or Research, or related fields.
• Experience with drawing wireframes, low fidelity prototypes and mockups, conducting research studies (including surveys, usability tests, and moderated interviews) and familiarity with creating user stories, journey maps, and personas is a plus.
