The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) for Pharma Analytics is responsible for sales in an assigned territory. They will handle current business relationships, develop new opportunities, and grow sales and profitability using their sales experience, product expertise, and market intelligence. This role is based in Pune/Ahmedabad/Mumbai, India and will interact with customers through various means of communication. The TSS will also support the delivery of customer expectations and commercial goals for the business unit in the assigned territory.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive new business and ensure target customers are aware of PharmaAnalytics product offerings and champion BPG PharmaAnalytcis value proposition in the market.
  • Drives existing funnel of opportunities to accelerate closure rates
  • Engage with biopharma/vaccine accounts as a PharmaAnalytics (PA) representative for pre-sales tasks. Responsibilities include introducing PA solutions, coordinating with Field Application Scientist for product demonstrations, and facilitating customer evaluation and adoption of PA solutions in their workflow.
  • Collaborates with and influences Bioproduction Account Managers (BAMs) within their district to develop and lead account growth strategies
  • Develops a territory plan and works independently on daily activities to meet the (AOP)
  • Is responsible for the Salesforce.com entry process, including management of technical meetings and new evaluation records
  • Stay ahead of market intelligence including trends, competitors, and key account developments
  • Collaborate with Regional Marketing Management and regional/local FAS to implement training programs and workshops
  • Identifying and implementing the best sales practices within assigned territories.
  • Establishes and builds links with key decision-makers, identifying the technical buyers
  • Initiates product evaluations as part of the sales process, coordinating activities between the BAM and FAS. Responsible for service-related to product sampling.
  • Acts as trusted advisor for key contacts within an account and brings in technical guides as needed to advance the solution process
  • Follows up on all product performance complaints or inquiries and coordinate with collaborators from different countries/regions/business units to ensure timely resolution.
  • Keeps up-to-date technical knowledge on assigned product lines, company literature, and driven products
  • Fosters voice of customer

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Biotechnology or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a specialization in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR / RT-PCR, Sanger Sequencing, NGS, and process analytics.
  • Strong and intimate understanding of downstream process analytics and quality control workflows in Bioproduction processes.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, proficient in value selling techniques, and the ability to sell up into organizations.
  • Able to work independently with limited day-to-day management supervision

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 6+ years of sales experience working in a role related to the bioproduction process specifically targeting molecular biology like qPCR-based techniques
  • Must possess a strong understanding of customer challenges and solution development
  • Must demonstrate previous success in a customer-facing role
