You will promote and sell microscopes, high content analysis instruments, multimode plate readers in part of France and emerging market.

You will collaborate with the sales team in the specified territory with, striving to support our customers whilst increasing profits and market share for the Thermo Fisher Life Science Solution Group.

Activities will include, sales visits, demonstration of instruments, organization of scientific seminars, territory planning, driving sales performance & accurate forecasting.

The Sales Specialist will be recognized as a technical leader, driving strategic objectives and adoption of new products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales objectives, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction, by developing and implementing an effective territory business plan.
  • Provide accurate business forecasts for all products in scope.
  • Establish solid working relationships with the local sales team and lateral functions, such as marketing, service, support, and customer service. Train, enable, and support sales representatives.
  • Develop a deep technical knowledge of assigned products within the portfolio, as well as a strong understanding of competition's products.
  • Organize and conduct seminars, attend and support local trade shows and conferences while demonstrating flexibility to accommodate customer needs.
  • Be pro-active with the scope of optimizing return
  • Maintain contact with existing customers to promote new products, close deals, and grow sales, as well as develop new prospects.
  • Attend all required sales meetings and training sessions, subsequently implementing new skills gained.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field; equivalent experience will also be considered. Master or PhD degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of microscopy and optics required. Spectral imaging would be a plus.
  • Three or more years of professional selling experience highly valued.
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel between 50%-75% in your territory.
  • Team work is a must.
  • Proficient in French.
  • Experience in a large matrix organization highly appreciated.
  • General computer proficiency and knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Driving license required.
