Job Description
The Cell Biology TSS operates within the Biosciences Division (BID) and is responsible for driving sales across a targeted portfolio of products within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will apply their sales experience, scientific knowledge, product expertise, market intelligence, and territory management skills to improve sales and profitability. This individual will be acknowledged as a technical leader, instrumental in advancing strategic objectives and encouraging the adoption of new products within the sales team.
What will you do?
- Selling and promoting the cell biology, neurobiology, stem cells, cell & gene therapy and protein expression portfolios across a defined territory
- Drive business growth through the development of new business and by growing business with current customers
- Put customers first - Respond efficiently to customer requests, explore customer business goals and be a technical resource.
- Maintain and expand the current customer database using our customer relationship management software.
- Establish technical credibility and develop relationships with accounts and colleagues.
- Apply technical and business knowledge to present an attractive value proposition to customers.
- Work within a broader sales team and engage with multiple internal collaborators
- Attend Trade Exhibitions to generate leads and prospects for the company's products
- Develop and implement technology seminars applicable to the account research focus
- Collect, process, and disseminate market feedback and competitive intelligence to support evolution of our product offerings
- Accept and adapt to change quickly while remaining effective and efficient
- Independently balance multiple tasks in parallel and prioritize workload
- Field travel is required (50% or more)

How will you get here?
Education
- A master's degree or higher in cell biology, developmental biology, protein biology, biochemistry, biomedicine, or a related field is required; equivalent knowledge and industry/functional experience will also be considered.
Experience
- A strong technical background in stem cell biology, neurobiology, cell and gene therapy, antibody drug discovery, structural biology, genome editing, or vaccine research is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in technical support, business development, or product management is highly preferred.
- Experience in a sales role and familiarity with account management are useful.
- A strong desire to achieve targets and a sense of self-fulfillment are preferred.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication is useful.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, are required to effectively collaborate within teams.
- Open to candidates with relevant technical knowledge who are interested in transitioning to a sales role.
