Job Title: Technical Sales Consultant - TSC

The TSC in Digital Science will be responsible for providing technical support to account managers focusing on growing revenue streams and/or developing new business. The technical responsibility includes analysis of requirements, response to RFx, technical consultancy, preparation and delivery of demonstrations of the Digital Science software portfolio for LIMS, SDMS, ELN, and integration solutions. This position shares a sales quota with the rest of the team for the EMEA region.

You will also influence other functions, including product management, solutions development, and services, to ensure we meet our yearly booking, revenue, and growth targets. A crucial member of the DSBU sales team, together we will boost digital transformation and enable customers to accelerate production, improve product quality, make process decisions faster, and protect their brands!

Division Specific Information:

Digital Science Business Unit DSBU - Analytical Instruments Group (AIG)

Location:

Remotely based in any major city in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, or the Netherlands.

What will you do?

• Responds efficiently and promptly to customer requests, clarifies the customers' business challenges and provide technical assessment throughout the whole sales cycle.

• Builds relationships at multiple levels and across all constituents establishing initial technical credibility with accounts.

• Prepare and deliver exciting, compelling, and focused technical demonstrations.

• Has sufficient technical and business knowledge to present an attractive value proposition to customers.

• Understands the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and contributes to develop efficient strategies to address opportunities and overcome obstacles.

• Participates in global meetings to share standard methodology, and occasionally assist with technical training.

• Actively collaborate in the maintenance and evolution of demonstration systems and shares exciting/innovative technical developments with peers.

A successful candidate will likely have excellent communication skills, business discernment, with a good understanding of science and digital solutions for laboratories. The candidate understands and relates to technical product capabilities and requirements, is technology savvy, results oriented and skilled at problem-solving.

The candidate is driven, motivated, an outstanding teammate and has a high degree of emotional intelligence. Shows flexibility to remote-working patterns (global calls) and is ready to travel up to 25 - 50%

You will honour commitments and strive for positive professional relationship with customers, colleagues, and senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

Requires a bachelor's degree in any life science related field, or four additional years equivalent proven experience.

Language

Fluency in English & German, or English & French is required

Additional language skills are highly desirable

Role success profile:

Experience

2+ years' technical sales experience, preferably in the Laboratory Software Solutions, LIMS, ELN, SDMS working with industries such as life science, pharmaceutical, biotech, environmental, food & beverage, and/or chemicals.

Experience and knowledge of enterprise scientific software demonstrations.

Familiarity with commercial operations in complex sales cycles.
