Job Description

The System Service Technician (SST) performs in-house planned maintenance, repairs and other verification/qualification services on a variety of innovative laboratory instruments in life science environment. The SST engages with Thermo Fisher Scientific Commercial Customer Excellence Hub team (CCEH) and provides instrument services in a professional and timely manner.

Essential Functions:

• Provides planned maintenance (PM), repair services.
• Displays professionalism, understanding, tact, fairness and technical knowledge.
• Follows all reporting responsibilities.
• Is familiar with and follow policies that pertain to the handling of spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, inventory management, etc.
• Maintains their technical competency by attending trainings, staff meetings and remaining up to speed on new products, markets, customers and competitors.
• Collaborates with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
• Communicates regularly and effectively with management.
• May be required to perform other related duties as the need arises and/or assigned.

• Effective interpersonal skills, both oral and written in English
• Basic technical, electronics/mechanical knowledge
• Microsoft office knowledge
• Punctuality and organizational skills

• Proven record of relevant experience in a similar role
