Job Description

As an Intern for the Supply Chain team, you will have the chance to gain real-world business experience and build your network. You will support supply chain business functions through hands-on learning and participating in projects that will be used in business decisions. The role will further support team's objectives through an assigned project related to data development, data visualization, batch monitoring, and material purchasing.

A day in the Life:

Our intern projects are designed to give you real-world data and analytics experiences and project responsibility in a large organization. Interns are provided assigned procurement, operational excellence, and analytics tool building projects. In addition, you will get receive opportunities to experience our culture with exposure to Supply Chain as well as other parts of the organization.

Main tasks:

  • Hold customer interactions, either telephonically, via email or face to face
  • Accurately process customer orders
  • Lot number management as well as customer communications in this regard
  • Participate and contribute to Customer Satisfaction
  • Comply and update quality procedures
  • Submit monthly reports to Customer Service Team Leader
  • Work cooperatively and efficiently with co-workers to achieve team, department and company metrics.
  • Liaise with customers/service providers to resolve queries efficiently and expertly Customer Complaint Management and resolution within agreed timeline
  • Process staff request for stock (transfers; FOC; Quotations) Process weekly vendor orders
  • Complete month end check list Track monthly objectives
  • Report stock issues to Logistics Team Leader and or Procurement Specialist immediately
  • To comply with Quality Management System and Health & Safety
  • To assist with administrative service tasks.
  • To provide feedback on service issues as required.
  • Understand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary and/or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives.
  • Always maintain confidentiality of company/customer/product information, implement all company policies and be a role model for our 4i's.
  • Participate PPI methods to improve business processes

Qualification:

  • Completed bachelor's in a related supply chain, information systems, business, or related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in supply chain/analytics
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team
  • Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
  • Attention to detail and prioritization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
