Location/division specific information
We - the Thermo Fisher Scientific Israel which produce consumables foe protein and DNA separation. you will be part of a passionate Team which is dedicated to support a broad range of customers who are developing and searching science solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifies, recruits, and retains QC talent
- Coaches, mentors, engages, and develops the QC team
- Appropriately communicates organization information through department and one-on-one meetings
- Performance management of the team
- Provides training to QC personnel and assures training is up to date for the team
- Resolves any obstacles by providing procedure or product performance technical guidance to the QC Lab
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
- Ability to adhere to standard timeline and communicate actions appropriately for resolution in a timely manner
- Leads and participates in cross-functional teams
- Summarizes data to trend and analyze product performance
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics
- Supports quality initiatives such as process and product characterizations that lead to continuous / cost improvements
- Responsible for meeting deadlines under tight timelines and changing priorities
- Provides guidance as needed on troubleshooting and lab investigations to other QC personnel
- Owns high-risk Non-Conformances/ Deviations / CAPAs
- Recommends and implements test procedure updates
- Provides administrative and technical support services during quality assurance audits
- Embodies cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture
- Other activities as deemed necessary by the QC management team
Education
- A biological sciences degree or in Quality is needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail, highly organized, and strong documentation skills
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, accountable, and flexible
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
- Sets stretch goals and links them to strategic outcomes and business goals
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience with CAPA/NCMR/RCA
- Operational Excellence (OPEX)/PPI/continuous improvement experience preferred
- Experience in data trending/tracking/analysis preferred
- Preferred 2 years experience in QC/medical device/biotech industry or related field
