The Inside Sales Supervisor assists the Inside Sales Manager in managing a team of sales representatives who sell research products and services primarily by using the telephone; but also using email, Internet, and other technology within a defined territory. The Inside Sales Supervisor will support the sales manager in ensuring the team has effective customer relations, developing opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assuring market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. While the Inside Sales Supervisor will assist in the leadership of the sales representatives, the individual will also be responsible for managing a territory as deemed appropriate such that balance and prioritization of duties can be achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sales Manager in day to day functions of supporting the sales team
  • Onboard, coach, motivate, and develop team members
  • Assist in managing team to maintain effective customer relations within team's assigned territory
  • Assist in managing overall performance of team members
  • Support Inside Sales Manager in maintaining accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of region
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations
  • Manage appropriate sales territory, focusing on customer satisfaction, revenue and margin goals as well as incremental growth performance

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years work experience, science or distribution environment is preferred

  • Working knowledge and application of MS Office
