Location/Division Specific Information

How will you make an impact?

Lead a group of scientists responsible for the development of liquid formulation drug substances in accordance with client specifications on pre-clinical, clinical, and pre-commercial phase projects. Secondarily, lead all aspects of the non-GMP stability, forced degradation, comparability and reference material certification activities. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of ThermoFisher Scientific scientists alongside our biopharmaceutical clients to accurately and efficiently communicate timelines and results.

What will you do?

  • Work with biopharmaceutical leaders to interpret client documents and literature to craft approaches for successful liquid formulation development using existing instrumentation and procedures.
  • Supervise all non-GMP Drug Substance stability programs.
  • Stage forced degradation, product comparability and process development sourced reference material fill and certification.
  • Utilize statistical tools to help guide both the team and client(s) to make scientific decisions regarding product quality and stability.
  • Develop and mentor a team of scientists to elevate their individual capabilities.

Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities

  • Knowledge and expertise in performing a variety of analytical techniques.
  • Solid understanding of ICH stability guidelines.
  • Experience using statistical tools such as JMP as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Smartsheet applications
  • Excellent time management skills are required.
  • Detail oriented with an inherent ability to understand sophisticated ideas and explain to teams with various backgrounds in a way that leads to comprehension.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor or Master or PhD in Molecular Biology / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • With Bachelor's degree, 5 years related experience to the job description, 2 years with Master's degree, and no prior proven experience with a PhD. Supervisor experience preferred but not required.
