How you will make an impact

In this role you will lead a small team to drive business retention and development. The team will drive selling of the portfolio in ANZ to exceed the assigned annual plans. As a primary contact for key opinion leaders in this space your will develop and nurture strategic customer relationships as well as lead business development to grow your business.

What you will do

Business Development, Sales Strategies & Implementation to achieve Targets

  • Create business development plans for the portfolio for the defined territory (ANZ), gain collaborator alignment and implement the aligned plan to exceed sales targets.
  • Manage existing accounts and prospecting for new business that will contribute to sales growth you will strategically maximise your direct team and the wider selling and support organization.

Direct Team Development

  • Lead through example with standard processes in account management and planning.
  • Develop Team proficiency in commercial, soft skills, product understanding in the GeX and GT workflows and applications.
  • Partner and collaborate with local sales, FAS, FSE teams to upskill colleagues and coordinate a company approach with our customers.

Customer Relationship and Report Management

  • Build positive relationships with customers by helping develop solutions and providing technical consulting while collaborating with wider support teams.
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed customer records & opportunities in salesforce.com.
  • Reporting regularly on orders and sales relative to the plan with ability to review at a division reporting level providing insights and actions.

How will you get here?

  • A Master's Degree or PhD in Life Sciences with a strong background in molecular biology and genetics.
  • Sales experience: 5+ years relevant sales experience and relationship management preferred.
  • A strong understanding of market, products and workflows for qPCR, dPCR and microarray, will be key.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strategic and tactical market development skills.
  • Results oriented, with strong sales attributes, a demonstrated track record of passion for success. Strong commercial competence with the ability to report clearly and concisely and develop accurate forecasting.
  • Planning and Organising - Establishing a clear course of action to prioritize and accomplish goals and objectives effectively.
  • Team Work - Participative and collaborative management and operational work style enabling one to work effectively across functional groups.
