The Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry business develops and manufactures innovative instruments, consumables, and software solutions for customers working in the analytical sciences (routine testing markets) and scientific research. We play an important role in various scientific fields, including chemistry, pharmaceuticals, forensics, environmental analysis, and biochemistry, among others.

Make an impact
The role of a Sr. Field Scientist, Applications is to provide scientific expertise and support to customers, sales teams, and internal partners within CMD (Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division) to resolve analytical challenges by applying chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques. You will be mentoring application scientist providing your support to their development.
Tasks
- Product Training: Conduct product training for customers virtually or remotely, in their laboratories, or at another onsite training center on the accurate use and application of instruments and software.
- Application Optimization: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to customize applications and methodologies. This includes troubleshooting, method development, and data interpretation. May be rin charge of collecting data from customer experiments or field trials, analyzing the data using statistical methods, and providing insights or recommendations based on the findings. They should be able to interpret scientific data accurately and communicate the results. Resolves and/or raises customer issues & complaints.
- Technical Presentations: Build and deliver presentations to highlight the capabilities and benefits of solutions for various applications. Communicate to diverse audiences.
- Drive Partnership: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing and sales, to support strategic execution of the customer training process.
- Scientific Support: Stay informed about the latest scientific literature, methodologies, and regulatory requirements Be trusted guide and increase customer happiness and dedication which lead to the overall success of the business. Provide scientific support and counsel to internal teams and customers and identify improvement opportunities.
- Leadership: Independently prioritize and lead team projects and mentor junior colleagues. Act as a consultant for specific market segments of expertise. Potentially acts as a backup and deputy to lead calls or meetings on request.
How will you get here?
- 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, software, data analysis, and techniques.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, including troubleshooting technical issues and providing mentorship on product usage and optimization.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in the local language and English.
- Involved in innovative research projects, provide guide scientific mentorship, and collaborate with cross-functional
- Travel up to 75% of the time.
