Job Description

How will you make an impact?

Responsible for the Technical sales and related support activities for Flow Cytometry Instrumentation, specializing in analyzers and cell sorters, to specified academic, government or industrial accounts in the New York City area, as well as NJ and CT.

What will you do:

• Demonstrate selling success in the area of flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters

• Display an acute awareness of the life science marketplace, particularly with cell analysis, its trends and our competitors

• Prior experience working in a laboratory

Our business unit serves researchers worldwide, accelerating the process of scientific discovery with a strong focus on the areas of applied markets, cellular immunity, immunotherapy and oncology.

Who are we looking for:

Requires a BA or BS in Biology, Immunology or related field, preferred M.Sc. or PhD

Experience:

Previous lab experience using flow cytometry or previous sales experience selling flow cytometry equipment and/or reagents

Strong technical background with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting

Background and familiarity with Flow Cytometry

Experience in working efficiently in a matrix environment

Sales experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Strong oral and written communication skills

Success in working and driving business growth across business functions

Ability to travel overnight travel up to 50% of the time

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Able to lift 35 lbs. independently

Experience with Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of CRM systems like SFDC

Outstanding understanding of the sales funnel and how to move sales forward in a changing environment

Can-do demeanor and highly motivated to win sales and take share from competitors
