Position Summary
This role leads a cross-functional team responsible for developing and completing global inventory strategy and optimization initiatives. Working closely with leaders from various departments to ensure the accurate completion of inventory controls and governance. The role holds shared accountability with Division Supply Chain Directors for meeting inventory targets and driving performance. This role will also be key in supporting the implementation of Kinaxis Rapid Response, driving towards business requirements and facilitating tool adoption at local sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Leader: Leads and develops a cross-functional team of colleagues to drive Supply Chain excellence initiatives, an influencer and change agent. Someone who challenges the status quo.
- Inventory Coach: Coaches cross-functional leaders on the 7 levers of Inventory Management and shares standard methodologies to drive improvements in working capital.
- S&OP: Work across groups and divisions to help with prioritization and trade-off decisions around service levels targets to stable vs growth markets.
- Optimization Initiatives: Drives inventory efficiency programs, including Value Stream Mapping, Network Optimization, Lead Time improvement, Cycle Stock optimization, among others.
- Technology enablement: Supports Kinaxis RR implementation. Serves as a liaison project and business teams, representing the perspectives of our internal teams. Inspire a fresh mentality and encourage business acceptance of new tools.
- Process Harmonization: Ensures the alignment of supply planning and inventory processes in LPG, including incorporating standard methods from the industry with the help of Gartner.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Assume the role of SME for global supply chain planning, focusing on developing capabilities in supply planning, inventory management, and SIOP supply review. This involves providing mentorship, coaching, and upholding standards.
- Performance management: Identify and track important metrics to measure the success of supply chain initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Project / Initiatives: Support Enterprise Digital Supply Chain, Lead Time reduction / accuracy projects, Operationalizing Segmentation, PPI.

- Collaborate: Deliver results through collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, S&OP, Demand Planning, New Product Development, and Supply Network Planning and Finance teams.
- Develop: Focuses on continuous improvement and guides team members to effectively represent Supply Chain and Inventory Management in S&OP forums. Relies on strong analysis and critical thinking.
- Champion diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Financial Proficiency: Applies Balance-sheet fundamentals to deliver Net Inventory targets, as well as Operational Inventory targets.
- Innovate: Challenging the status quo, driving teams towards constant improvement and embracing a proactive approach, increasing adoption across the network on new tools and processes, ways of working.
- Technical precision: Employ standard methodology and tap into system/ERP expertise to advise the local teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus in Science, Engineering, or Business Management (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Finance).
- 8+ years of professional experience within Supply Chain with extensive knowledge of S&OP processes, Supply and Inventory Planning in a highly matrixed organization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are vital to effectively convey information to Senior Leadership. This includes demonstrating a strong understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals, risks, opportunities, and their impact.
- Proficiency in advanced ERPs and planning systems, i.e. SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, Oracle.
- Experience with reporting platforms similar to Tableau / Power BI
- This position may require up to 15% domestic and international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or Engineering or Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- APICS certification.
- Prior people leadership experience preferred.
- Lean or Six Sigma training or certification, or prior work experiences with a high degree of lean thinking.
- Work experience in both COE and Operations roles, Life Science industry background.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $130,000.00-$192,000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
