Job Description
This position is passionate about service delivery excellence within Unity Lab Services! Specific activities relative to the job function could include: order entry/management, operating customer procurement systems, chemical handling/evaluation, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:
Assist with material orders and reconciliation, including maintaining a min/max or Kanban system and ensuring FEFO compliance.
Perform inventory counts on cleaning agents currently staged and populate tracker for planning/metrics.
Provide metrics input for Emergency material requests, Safety incidents and work orders
Provide support for handling of raw materials, cleaning reagents, gowning supplies and consumables, including sanitization of all items being transferred into the cleanrooms.
Ensure that all required materials and PPE are available for GMP cleaners before end of shift.
Ensure that all required materials and PPE are available for GMP manufacturing teams and training lab when needed.
Assist with kitting for Training Lab
Promote a safe work environment through various safety initiatives within functional area.
Participate in individual or group projects that can include, cost savings analysis, learning groups, writing job training methods, and leading team meetings.
Maintain safety awareness, by maintaining and authoring Work Instructions, assisting with Job Hazard Assessments, and performing PPE assessments.
Provide technical expertise and training to a diverse cross-functional team.
Follow well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP's & work instructions. Take direction from Site Supervisor/Sr. Manager regarding daily duties.
Independently makes decisions and uses available resources to meet customer requirements.
Analyzes/maintains/reconciles various reports to ensure customer and Thermo Fisher requirements are met.
Shows strengths in assembling, communicating and explaining job or site specific performance metrics to Direct Manager.
Communicates any customer issues or potential problems
Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and enhancements without the presence of site trainer and management team.
Listens to customer concerns, constructively diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times.
Adopts Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies
Access & take advantage of Thermo Fisher Scientifics' Intranet and SharePoint document management system.
Attend required training sessions.
Participate in projects and carries out duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Associates Degree, Biotechnology Course Certificate preferred, willing to consider experience in lieu of degree
Experience in a GXP laboratory setting.
Proven verbal, written and presentation skills.
2-3 years of dynamic proven experience preferred.
Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics' Four-I Values.
Proven excellence in customer service skills.
Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment.
Computer/software skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to establish and foster positive customer relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills and proactive approach in all duties.
Demonstrate expertise in the ability to identify inefficiencies in any process and make recommendations for improvement.

Must be able to work overtime as the need arises.
Working Conditions:
Works primarily at customer locations, in office environment, around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, cleanroom suites, storage locations and laboratory environments.
May be required to work independently within customer location.
It may be necessary to walk/stand for 75-85% of the day.
May pass through areas where chemical based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc).
Must possess motor skills appropriate to the task.
Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling 30-40 pounds consistently up to 50 lbs.
May be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks.
Must be able to accurately wear and use Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) as required for this role. This includes, but is not limited to, gloves, masks, hair bouffant safety glasses, and protective clothing.
