The Senior Account Manager position is a critical part of the commercial organization supporting the BioProduction Division portfolio which provides biotechnology and biopharmaceutical customers with coordinated workflow solutions across the entire bioprocessing portfolio. Our technologies include: Cell Culture, Production Chemicals, Chromatography, Pharma Analytics, and Single-Use Technologies. The successful candidate will be encouraged to apply sales, product and territory knowledge and work independently in most situations. Join our Commercial team with an unmatched depth of capabilities and help our customers tackle some of the world's toughest challenges. This is a remote rolebased in Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners effectively on daily selling activities with TSS and FAS to build a critical customer network.
  • Maintain present customer base while actively developing new process opportunities to create strong pipeline of projects that will fuel future growth.
  • Deliver custom projects by managing internal processes across various BPG functional groups to ensure divisional alignment, project accuracy, & execution.
  • Achieve strategic sales quotas and company goals.
  • Employ innovative sales strategies and techniques to proactively identify sales opportunities.
  • Respond to the needs of current and future customers through innovative solutions.
  • Drive growth using highly effective territory accounting skills.
  • Hold weekly discussions with sales manager regarding territory activity in order to resolve outstanding sales situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, business or equivalent. (Master's degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of selling in the BioProduction market and or industry related experience.
  • Established sales history and relationships with the upstream and downstream process development group within key biopharmaceutical accounts in designated territory would be desirable.
  • The ability to discuss and support product and application requirements across the bioprocessing workflow and engage technical specialists early and often to show the Thermo Fisher capabilities in providing our customers with the best outcomes.
  • Display positive approach to collaborate and problem-solve with both internal and external customers.
  • Build and maintain critical relationships internally and externally to drive sales.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills to analyze territory sales and technical data.
  • Requires the ability to perform independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in working with SFDC CRM strongly preferred.
