Job Description

Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for the overall quality satisfaction of the customer base, for ensuring establishment of processes that consistently deliver best-in-class quality and for instilling quality awareness in the multi-functional teams. The role includes the assessment of quality, reliability and satisfaction levels; driving multi-functional teams to improve quality; failure analysis; design of experiments; interaction with engineering, manufacturing, NPT teams, contract manufacturing partner(s), customers and the business units applying structured problem solving tools and techniques and the completion of tasks and objectives that support quality improvement.

Besides overall quality engineering, this role will also involved to coach quality staffs and manage the work of quality technician. Work as important quality team representatives to act as a contact window to overseas factories.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

  • Manage and coach quality technicians to develop their skills.
  • Monitor and report the performance of products in market by analyzing customer feedback, files of authority, and service report;
  • Directly and timely communicate with customer for quality and technical issues;
  • Improve efficiency of customer quality feedback system by coordinating between commercial channels and manufacturing forces;
  • Conduct process audit and product audit to identify improvement opportunity; analyze root cause for quality problem and work through corrective and preventive action;
  • Review engineering change from product compliance aspect; maintain accuracy of engineering data in SAP;
  • Understand NMPA, MDR and UL certificate Regulatory requirements will be better

Other Job Requirements: Occasional travel is required, including international travel.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Major in engineering background
  • 5 years above experiences in manufacturing, technical service environment, or customer relationship management;
  • Professional technical or engineering experience; laboratory instrument industry especially for freezer product will be preference;
  • Strong inter-personal skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill in English, be able to work in a multicultural environment;
  • Practical experience in SAP; Implementation experience in ISO9001&ISO13485;
  • Ability to achieve goals independently within a challenging time frame.
