Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Project Engineer to join our team in Uppsala. As a global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and autoimmunity diagnostics, Thermo Fisher is dedicated to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases.   • You will be a part of a team of project managers and engineers responsible for planning and driving investment projects within the division
  • Take on projects that will make a significant impact on increasing capacity and securing supply from the divisions two main sites in Uppsala and Freiburg
  • Lead cross-functional project teams consisting of R&D, Sourcing, Operations and Suppliers

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Project Leader for CAPEX projects, focused on tooling projects for plastic components
  • Lead your project teams from an identified business need to the successful completion of the project
  • Plan and drive projects by effectively managing people, resources and budgets
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve project and portfolio execution and planning

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years (preferred) of proven experience in project management of investment projects in cross functional teams
  • Master or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience from Life science or regulated industry
  • Technical knowledge in injection molding is a plus
  • Ability to communicate in English and Swedish, both verbal and written
