How will you make an impact?

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Pricing Analyst in Carlsbad, CA. Set strategic prices, implement price/volume improvement programs, and track Price/Volume impact for our Life Sciences Group (LSG). Contribute to a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise to the LSG organization on pricing strategy and execution.
  • Develop and drive data-driven pricing guidelines/tools for business units within LSG divisions.
  • Provide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives, including setting list prices, determining customer-specific discounts, and identifying product conversion opportunities.
  • Determine new product introduction price positioning. Collaborate closely with marketing, product management, and finance teams to establish efficient launch prices.
  • Prepare executive-level reports of findings and opportunities to increase price attainment in the businesses.
  • Build ad-hoc modeling and analysis related to price/volume tradeoff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the fields of Analytics or Data Science.
  • Proficient in SQL programming, running complex queries, and stored procedures.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Python programming preferred but not required.
  • Power BI (DAX / Power Query (M)) preferred but not required.
  • Strong creativity, drive, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in a large corporate environment or a diversified, complex organization is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable operating within a matrix structure.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a proven track record to influence and build partnerships effectively. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal abilities, relating well to individuals from a diverse group of backgrounds.
  • Applies subtlety and tact in interactions and excels in presenting ideas with creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to travel (~10%).

Education/Experience

MINIMUM Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, Finance, or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience.

Alternative Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Master's degree in Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, Finance, or a related field of study plus 2 years of experience.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $92,900.00-$139,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
