How will you make an impact?

This position is responsible to safely operate, maintain, modify, install and repair all the facilities heating, (steam,hotwater and electric) ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including controls, exhaust equipment, Environmental Management Control Systems (ECMS), and perform High Efficient Air (HEPA)Filter testing. Provide support in coordinating and prioritizing work orders, performing assigned work tasks; works with all other maintenance mechanics and complete tasks in a timely and to skill set standards.

What will you do?

  • Perform tasks in strict adherence to approved procedures.
  • Monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot using Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Maintain HVAC, Refrigeration, and HEPA equipment as part of our preventive maintenance program.
  • Follow preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems for building HVAC.
  • Maintain, repair, and install centralized plant equipment.
  • Support Engineering and Capital project teams.
  • Exhibit proficiency in brazing and soldering copper.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and customers.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Maintain HEPA certifications and equipment calibration in CMMS.
  • Follow SOPs and site cGMP per CFR 21.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local codes.
  • Assist in crafting job plans, SOPs, and JSA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience maintaining HVAC/R equipment, 2 years with trade or technical degree.
  • Preferred experience in a regulated or GxP industry.
  • Knowledge of large industrial Air Handling Systems

Skills and Preferences

  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and determination in delivering excellent service.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and BMS.
  • CFC certification required.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Work in a clean-room environment with controlled temperature and humidity.
  • Ability to work in extreme climates.
  • Wear gowning, including gloves, hair & beard net, and face cover.
  • Frequent use of PPE; glasses, gloves, safety shoes, and fall protection.
  • Lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds unassisted; frequent lifting of 10-35 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, bending, and grasping.
  • Frequent use of hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights from a ladder or other means.
