Are you passionate about science and specifically the contributions and advances made in the evolving world of genetic sciences? We are seeking a Sr. Market Development Manager to lead our real-time PCR (qPCR) consumables global market development strategy and execution for our distribution channels! This role will set the strategic direction and tactical implementation for channel plans supporting qPCR consumables and will work with global and regional marketing, marketing operations, channel marketing and commercial teams to align and implement the plans.

  • Develop strategy and build programs to expand our consumables presence and growth through channel partners (e.g. Fisher Scientific, local distributors)
  • Create strategic, coordinated marketing plans to build channel engagement and growth, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, and tactical programs
  • Work closely with product management and market development to align strategies that drive demand for our qPCR consumables to key customer segments through third party channels
  • Propose, develop, and implement innovative marketing and incentive programs to increase engagement in channels to achieve measurable results for qPCR consumables products
  • Collaborate and ensure alignment of channel plans among product management, marketing partners, commercial leaders, and other collaborators
  • Maintain channel metrics dashboards to measure the efficiency and impact of channel strategies
  • Gather, share and leverage knowledge of the trends and competitive landscape as it impacts channel partners and develop strategies to win in dynamic markets.
  • Collaborate with regional and channel marketing, product management, commercial and operations teams to build key relationships.
  • Manage marketing budgets to support channel activities and demonstrate a high return on investment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or a life science field with previous work experience in biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry. PhD, MS and/or MBA are desirable.
  • 5-7+ years of proven hands-on experience in marketing and/or commercial roles of growing scope and responsibility in the life science industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations to senior leadership and large audiences.
  • Self-starter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in complex global, matrix environments, including handling expectations of multiple partners across business units and regions.
  • Outstanding skill in running global marketing projects with a strong attention to detail
  • Adept at building and maintaining relationships with distributors and other channel partners, as well as end-user customers.
  • Ability to manage project scope, budget, and schedule to achieve timely completion of projects.

Travel:

Approximately 25-50% domestic and international travel

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $125,00.00-$175,00.00.

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00-$194,950.00.
