This role will drive, develop and implement the Visualization Sciences commercial strategy for the region, leading continuous sales activity, including Direct sales, Channel Development, Key Accounts Development and Marketing Coordination. You will analyze regional trends and develop appropriate response including the short and long-term strategy. Since this is a remote large emerging territory, the candidate will ensure the motivation and development of staff and will use Thermo Fisher Scientific's regional presence including offices and shared services to optimize MSD VDS's commercial resources and activity.

You will have a high level of independent judgement & execution capability to resolve functional and team challenges, including adjustment of existing protocols and operational methods. The candidate is expected to drive growth through strategically integrating and aligning MSD VDS sales teams and products with other Thermo Fisher's BUs and Divisions operating in the region.

What will you do:

Provide leadership to the sales team to implement the strategy in region and capture opportunities in the markets.

Responsible for achieving and exceeding financial goals by achieving higher organic growth than market and acquiring market share.

Improve sales productivity and expand market coverage.

Responsible for improving customer satisfaction by improving the customer's end to end experience. It requires excellence of general management across functions, collaboration with Service, and various business partners from the global Business Units and matrixed shared functions. Strives to deliver the right solution to customers in order to support customer's workflow optimally

Drive an accurate sales funnel and rich pipeline by utilization SFDC. Implement sales leads follow up, tracking, and reporting to secure all opportunities.

Develop strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders

Provide sales management to the Regional Sales teams, Managers, and Dealer Partners to ensure order and sales volumes are achieved, forecast accuracy, lead generating activities, m, seminars, strategic account development, technical support to field sales engineers, positioning, and pricing drivers.

Prioritize transparent sharing of information, market intelligence and recommendations to improve market penetration and orders growth for the portfolio.

Prioritize support, product training and sales presentation training to improve the ability of the sales teams to make well-informed and compelling sales presentations, including software demonstrations, which clearly differentiate our value proposition.

Where needed, act as an interface between the Order Entry Services Team to facilitate the smooth and clean processing of sales orders.

Maintains and updates competitor / geographical sales and products performance analysis and SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats). Provide input to PLM, QMI and QBR calls.

Mentoring, goal setting and effective delegation to stretch and develop individual and team proficiencies;

How will you get there:

10 years of sales management experience. with direct and indirect sales teams

External (customer facing) experience within a provider of laboratory and industrial analysis software.

Financial understanding enough to evaluate cost accounting and return implications for potential projects.

Technology proficiency to understand and communicate to the team the Division wide technical goals and product development activities.

High energy level with ability to take initiative and drive growth

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Optimally perform assigned duties, while acting always in accordance with the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.

Embrace and participate in PPI initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings to the business.

Minimum bachelor's degree in physical science, chemistry or engineering field preferred.

Preferred advanced degree with emphasis on Microscopy, spectroscopy or engineering.

MBA equivalent executive business education a plus.
