How you will make an impact:

Global Business Services are seeking an P2P Operations Senior Manager, who is an authority in transactional and functional excellence related to Accounts Payable. This role will require master level knowledge and experience to supervise and coordinate P2P Operations. They will partner with a broad number of external and internal business partners, such as Vendors, Warehouses, Distribution Centres, Product Management, Accounting, Rebate Teams, Compliance & Audit. The focus is on driving a better process every day in their portfolio, using Thermo Fisher's Accounts Payables system.

What you will do:

  • Be responsible for the supervision team of the Manila GBS Center for the Procure to Payment organization, being responsible for the operational performance of the members of the department, through the strategic orientation and direction of the functions.
  • Ensure compliance with global departmental and organizational objectives successfully, adhering to established policies and processes.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as assistance control, vacation, and performance plans.
  • Carry out development conversations and follow up with the personnel in charge in accordance with the established policies.
  • Schedule recurring meetings with the managers and supervisors, to review metrics, and analyze the results of the month-end, as well as issues related to the staff and/or updates on corporate processes and policies.
  • Monitor all activities related in the month-end close, and ensure they are completed in the stipulated time.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all job-related documentation is archived and complete.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new employees, and assist with on-boarding, orientation, and training.
  • Understand project interdependencies and sequence migration and cutover events appropriately.
  • Deploy and align metrics, performance dashboards to monitor process performance.
  • Work closely with the Control & Compliance team to ensure to maintain a robust control environment.
  • Connects and builds the network with other departments to leverage and share standard processes

How you will get here:

Education

  • University or College degree

Experience

  • 10+ years prior experience in Shared Services or Global Business Services

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Shown ability to develop and maintain financial controls.
  • Effective training skills and team building capabilities for rapid ramp-up of functional tasks within area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; strong oral and written communication, presentation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading continuous process improvement projects leading to significant time or bottom line savings.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy as data entry is a critical component of role
  • High level of proactivity to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to drive growth through excellent decision making.
  • Travel Requirements
  • Less than 20%
