Job Description

Position Summary: As a Sr Product Manager for Process Liquids, you will drive global product strategy to accelerate growth in our BioProduction business. Reporting to the General Manager for the Supplements and Process Liquids business unit, you will manage the Process Liquids Product Management team and portfolio, support market analysis, VOC, planning, and commercial strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of new product introductions (NPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mid-range product strategies and guide fiscal planning for product growth and evolution.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry leaders.
  • Align team priorities with business goals through regular cross-functional meetings.
  • Benchmark business plans against market intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at conferences and tradeshows.
  • Champion new product launches from development to commercialization.
  • Achieve revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and market share objectives.
  • Act as product and capabilities champion with internal and external collaborators.
  • Maintain positive relationships with sales and technical support teams, including customer visits.
  • Support Gemba walks and promote outsourcing of Process Liquids Customer Owned Formulations.
  • Be active participant in the annual strategic plan development.
  • Develop long-term product roadmaps and business opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with the commercial organization to maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline.
  • Develop cases for investments and present to senior leadership.
  • Provide market input to Operations and support product planning to ensure optimal service levels.
  • Lead strategic collaborations for product partnerships with R&D, operations, commercial groups, and external partners.
  • Lead product team of junior product manager(s). assign responsibility for tasks and decisions.
  • Be a talent scout for future product management talent.
  • Provide mentorship and feedback to team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of product management experience in bioproduction, biopharma, life sciences, or chemical industries.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Strong technical understanding of bioproduction manufacturing processes.
  • Creative, high-reaching, and capable of leading without direct authority.
  • Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Additional Information:
  • This role is fully remote with 30-50% domestic and international travel.
  • Pay is determined by experience and geographical location

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $140,000.00-$180,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
