Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Strategy: Thoroughly analyze the China pharma/biotech industry, drug pipeline, and CDx competitive landscape. Partner with both global and China teams to develop a robust China pharma strategy, value proposition, and growth plan.
  • Lead Business Development: Coordinate the entire Business Development process, including lead generation, prospecting, proposal drafting, contract discussions, and closing deals.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with global functional teams, including R&D, program management, product, regulatory, clinical affairs, finance, and legal during the deal process.
  • Results: Develop and implement plans to achieve individual and team annual growth targets while aligning with long-term strategic goals.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in life sciences, business, or other related fields. An MBA or a PhD or equivalent experience in life science degree is helpful.
  • Industry Knowledge: Practical understanding of Oncology biomarker and drug development, and molecular companion diagnostic test development.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in-depth experience in business development, commercial, product management, and/or marketing within the China Biotech or Pharmaceutical or China CDx industry.
  • Business Insight: Proven track record to understand and navigate the business landscape, encouraging valuable connections with key partners and customers to drive positive business outcomes.
  • Skills: Outstanding communication, team-building, and leadership skills. Proficient in presentation and analytical skills.
  • Global Collaboration: Proven success in working within a global, matrixed environment with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Analytical Abilities: Capability to comprehend, assess, and incorporate intricate clinical and biomarker development programs, draw accurate conclusions, and devise clear and reliable strategies and tactics.
  • Influencing Skills: Effective client influencing skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally, as required.
