What you will do?: The Sr. Manager, Key Accounts - UK Reference Labs and Clinical Diagnostics Managed Service Contracts is responsible for working closely with key customers, leads services, and internal business managers to address customers' healthcare challenges using our laboratory diagnostics product portfolio, generating opportunities and meeting bookings objectives optimally to support growth plans.

Representing the total company's portfolio of products and services, this individual is accountable for crafting, communicating, and mobilising a set of business objectives and strategies that markedly expand the business relationship at each account. The position is based remotely and will require frequent travel - approximately 50%.

This will include:

  • Prioritize the UK business opportunities within the clinical market and for Managed Service Contracts as well as tenders across the whole Thermo Fisher Scientific portfolio.
  • Build and implement a strategy with related go to market strategies.
  • Drive customer centric strategies that increase customer happiness, dedication, and advocacy for the purpose of accelerated business expansion.
  • Build a new business pipeline that enables a broader Thermo Fisher Scientific engagement/ growth while leading existing business and customer relationships.
  • Lead case development and justification to resolve the merits and prioritization of business opportunities.
  • Drive sophisticated projects and contracting initiatives that best facilitates the ongoing needs of the business relationship(s).
  • Coordinate activities across divisional sales and other functional teams to ensure tight alignment to goals and activities.
  • Nurture relationships with traditional prime contractors such as Roche, Abbott, Siemens, Beckman, etc. as well as within NHS procurement particularly with key NHS Trusts.
  • Collaborate with Thermo Fisher ABHI and BIVDA board members to drive knowledge and engagement with key partners both internally and externally.

How will you get here:

  • B.S. Degree in the Science, Engineering or Business required. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 7-10 years of relevant commercial and / or marketing experience with a minimum of 5 years in a management or senior level Business Development, Commercial or Corporate accounts role.
  • Consistent track record of working across the Thermo Fisher Scientific divisions and have a deep knowledge of key businesses.
  • Record of success engaging and selling at Executive / c-suite level within corporate level accounts.
  • Expertise and understanding of the NHS and in pathology.
  • Strong analytical skills including basic financial training, and sophisticated tenders.
  • Confirmed experience of growing business within the NHS sector.
