Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and documents that arise from Thermo Fisher's day-to-day operations throughout China.
  • Providing guidance and advice on specific regulatory and compliance requirements pertaining to the medical device industry.
  • Negotiating and collaborating closely with external parties to safeguard and advance the company's best interests.
  • Staying up to date with national and state legislation that may impact the medical device industry.
  • Handling claims, disputes, mediations, litigations, and arbitrations as assigned.
  • Assessing legal risks and promptly reporting or advancing them to the Legal Director.
  • Offering timely, proactive, and practical legal advice to internal business clients.
  • Collaborating with Compliance, Finance, HR, Trade Compliance, and Regulatory teams to ensure the availability and proper provision of legal advice to relevant collaborators.
  • Providing legal guidance on corporate business development projects and growth initiatives at the group level.
  • Offering legal advice on various external investigations led by relevant authorities, including but not limited to PSB and MSB.
  • Informing the Legal Director of significant project developments and matters in a timely manner.

Minimum Experience and Skills Required

  • PRC LLB is required (preferred with a reputable China university), while overseas legal education background is a plus.
  • Legal Professional Qualification Certificate
  • 5-8 years of working experiences.
  • High integrity and compliance
  • Good command of English
