Job Responsibilities

Apply Thermo Fisher Scientific's or customer's inventory/order management systems for on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing.

  • Pickup and delivery of hazardous waste and inventory packages within a laboratory environment.
  • Sustain and maintain stockroom inventory to ensure seamless operations.
  • Follow strict work processes as defined by our written procedures.
  • Listen to customer concerns and effectively address issues with the objective of resolution within an established timeframe.
  • Proactively communicate with supervisors regarding any customer concerns or potential problems.

Engage in process improvement activities to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education

We require a High School Diploma or equivalent experience; however, a college degree is preferred.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of personnel and customers.
  • Proficient in operating handheld scanners and performing data entry.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organizational skills to successfully implement multi-tasking and meet due dates.
  • Ability to work independently at customer sites, which may include environments where chemical-based allergens are present.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and bump hats.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently, and potentially up to 50 pounds, including the operation of pushcarts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $21.42-$32.13.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
