Sr Data Analyst, Commercial Analytics

ThermoFisher Scientific (China) Co. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr Data Analyst to join our Commercial Analytics team in Shanghai. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to drive impactful insights and data-driven decision-making for our business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your strong data processing skills, proficiency in SQL and Python, and expertise in Power BI to perform data analysis and uncover valuable insights from large volumes of business data.
  • Apply your understanding of SFDC (Salesforce.com) to fulfill business needs by conducting data analysis and extraction.
  • Develop and maintain flawless Power BI reports that visualize and communicate data analysis results, helping business teams understand and interpret data effectively.
  • Foster strong collaboration with business teams spanning multiple departments to gain deep insights into their requirements and deliver data analysis that informs strategic decision-making.
  • Track and monitor key business metrics, identifying potential opportunities and challenges, and offering appropriate recommendations and solutions.
  • "Collaborate with the data team to ensure data accuracy and integrity, while actively contributing recommendations for data quality improvement."

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, with specialized expertise in Commercial Excellence.
  • Familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce.com) and its capabilities for data analysis and supporting business needs.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for efficient processing and analysis of large-scale business data.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for designing and developing world-class visual reports.
  • Proficient in analyzing data and applying problem-solving techniques to obtain valuable insights.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and work effectively with various teams, understanding business needs, and offering valuable support.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
