Summary of Internship

As a Lead Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the outstanding opportunity to support our customer enablement programs in alignment with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focus on Operations, Colleagues, Communities, and Environment. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in CSR data collection and analysis, material development, and presentations. You will work closely with our CSR Strategy and Reporting team to support benchmarking and research opportunities related to rankings, ratings, and standards. Essential Functions

  • Contribute to the development, preparation, and delivery of customer values alignment materials, specifically related to ESG commitments and programs.
  • Coordinate, tag, and analyze a large dataset of completed customer surveys to identify emerging trends, frequency, and other valuable insights.
  • Help with the research, tracking, and monitoring of customer ratings, awards, and social impact partners.
  • Stay informed about current trends and industry standards in ESG-related fields to contribute to our outstanding initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an MBA or equivalent experience. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience, is required to excel in this role.
  • Bring 3+ years of relevant proven experience, with a preference for familiarity with corporate ESG reporting.
  • Showcase proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to tackle sophisticated challenges.
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, proficiency in data collection, analysis, research, and effective collaboration abilities to guarantee flawless execution.
  • Take initiative and ownership of projects, showcasing your ability to stay organized while optimally collaborating with multiple teams and handling various tasks simultaneously.
  • Show a deep understanding of ESG, energy, climate, and/or sustainability issues in a corporate setting.
  • Apply your quantitative skills to capture, analyze, and model data in Excel. Craft graphs, visualize information, and maintain data quality and control.
