The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in meaningful environments where customers put a premium on adaptability, reliability and ease of use. They enable them to make decisions where they operate and streamline their businesses. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.

The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with, and report to the Global Services Excellence leader for CAD. The Analyst is an experienced, analytical, customer-centric professional with project management expertise and a strong understanding, or willingness to learn CRM systems and data visualization platforms (i.e. SFDC and Power BI).

What will you do?

  • Act as point of contact for translating business requirements to the various IT partners for successful delivery of data visualization for the Services teams.
  • Lead day to day oversight of Services operations data including dashboards, bowlers, MBR and QBR analytic review summaries.
  • Translate and provide prioritization of business requests into IT requirements for continuous improvement of metric visualizations.
  • Lead collaborations as both project manager or informally across all CAD service functional teams, focusing on new and continuous process improvement projects and 'just do it' actions.
  • Recommend and facilitate global services master data governance process in collaboration with IT.
  • Assist in development, prioritization and deployment if ad hoc initiatives and projects within AOP guidelines to drive global workflow and process efficiencies including instruction and training to company standards.
  • Generate data summaries and mechanisms to provide transparency of service business data to leadership.
  • Assist in developing Services Key Performance Indicators and metrics to track progress and provide return on investment on temporary initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT, business transformation and service business functions to ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy within the services system of record.
  • Contributes to a culture of customer centricity and accountability through use of practical process improvement (PPI) and experience sharing.
  • Identify business areas of opportunity and translate into quantitative analyses that enable practical insights that drive productivity savings and efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; willing to consider substantial experience in lieu of degree.

Experience

  • Project Management- confirmed experience in leading successful projects. PMP certification preferred.
  • Proven excellence in communication (verbal and written), negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • 5 years demonstrated ability summarizing data analysis and delivering continuous improvement proposals.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI), Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) and SFDC preferred.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with ability to adjust to changing business requirements and ability to handle multiple projects to specified timeline.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% and work across global time zones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Project Management PMP Certification
  • SFDC reporting experience
