Contract Type: permanent, full time

You will lead the following portfolios including reagents and instruments: Molecular Biology, Cellular Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry...) and Protein Biology for the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystem brands.

As a Senior Field Sales Account Manager, you will be asked to:

  • Bring value by applying life science portfolio knowledge into differentiated products and services for our customers
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to deliver results
  • Achieve/surpass all assigned sales targets and quotas by proactively leading a consumable and instrument sales funnel

Accountabilities

  • Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.
  • Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation's management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts within your sales territory. Visit all customer levels and functional areas, daily, using consultative selling techniques within assigned territory.
  • Manage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support teams.
  • Regularly provide written and verbal communication of successes, failures, best practices, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization.
  • Connect with research scientists at all accounts to discover their needs, share product information and create sales presentations.
  • Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns and special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing as needed to maintain and increase revenues with guidance from Management and/or Marketing.
  • Provide sales forecast for assigned territory to support business understanding.
  • Be involved in extra projects supporting team, other teams and manager.

As a senior Field Sales member of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Bioscience Division you will be in daily face to face contact with numerous customers from Research organizations, Start-Up companies or public institutions. By your enthusiastic effort you will make sure that our clients will get those products that fit their needs and you will guide them through our organization and processes to receive the best support on their way to reach their goals. It's your performance and behavior which will define how our customers perceive the brand of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Knowledge and skills

  • Minimum BSc within Life Sciences required, preferred Master or PhD
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Demonstrated business experience of at least 5 years in sales in Life Science industry, and proven track record to strategize and achieve results
  • Sales attitude; strongly motivated by targets.
  • Works independently on daily activity in accordance with sales activity plan
  • Strong communicator; able to engage and influence at all levels. Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed
  • Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks required
  • Able to adapt to a constantly evolving business environment
  • Substantiated capability to effectively negotiate and close business.
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team, work in a team atmosphere and influence others to achieve results.
