Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer III Test who demonstrates strong work behaviors and a drive for success. As a QA automation engineer, you will have a critical role in testing our scientific applications and ensuring the highest level of product performance, quality, security, and stability. Working closely with different teams, you will convert business requirements into efficient test scenarios and accurately document test cases. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be essential in optimizing test case documentation.

What will you do?

  • Build, update, maintain, and implement comprehensive test plans that include manual test cases.
  • Develop and maintain assets to support test cases, including configurations and data.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand software design and functionality.
  • Coordinate and liaise with geographically separated engineering teams across different time zones.
  • Enforce established interpersonal policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Review, collaborate, and recommend improvements to software testing processes and frameworks.
  • Build metrics, increase test coverage, and provide recommendations for existing and future systems.
  • Participate in end-to-end feature testing using industry-standard processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Strong experience, 8+ years, in test automation skills using Selenium for Java.
  • Proficiency in developing functional and technical test cases, test data preparation, defect identification, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work with a distributed team of testers and lead testing efforts for projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQA (Software Quality Assurance) test process and methodologies in web applications.
  • Experience completing full-cycle software projects and understanding of Agile Methodology.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools such as Jira, HP QC, or similar.

Preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills and scenario generation.
  • Knowledge of testing across multiple operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GIT, etc.
