Job Description
DUTIES:
Design, code and implement DeltaV based standard software product platform including hotfixes, new product releases, customizations and interfacing to third party systems;
Design, document and implement DeltaV software customizations in accordance with company policies, procedures and good engineering practices;
Participate in software and process design reviews;
Maintenance of existing software products based on the DeltaV software platforms in accordance with company policies, procedures and good engineering practices;
Provide software support to other groups within the organization;

Accurately assess project risks associated with development activities;
Accurately assess work efforts required to implement solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or related experience. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or related experience as an equivalent alternative.
Required knowledge or experience with:
Emerson DeltaV design and programming;
Control system design and coding;
Data Architectures;
Communication protocols including Modbus RTU and OPC;
Technical writing, project documentation and change management methodologies;
cGMP, batch process control and requirements for software development;
P&IDs and instrumentation and control equipment.
Salary: $146,746.22 to $168,700 per year
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $146,746.22-$168,700.00.
