To strengthen our agile Applied Analytical Technology team, we are looking for a motivated Software Engineer. If you enjoy working with a multidisciplinary, multicultural, and worldwide team, this is your job.

A day in the Life:

Join our dynamic team and embark on an exciting journey filled with diverse tasks and responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • working in compliance with legislation and IMS (internal processes and directives)
  • development of C# .NET drivers for the gas chromatography/mass spectrometry instruments and peripheral devices
  • unit testing and informal validation on instruments or simulators
  • recording of work items in Azure DevOps based on requirements from scientists, product managers and other stakeholders
  • sustaining of existing instrument drivers
  • documenting all the work as appropriate for the module

Requirements:

  • degree in relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience with analytical devices
  • 1+ years of proven experience with C# .NET SW development
  • strong background in backend development and software architecture
  • outstanding analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • willingness to work in international teams across time zones
  • Traveling to Bremen, Germany and other company or customer locations may be required.

Competencies:

  • Data structures, analysis, and basic computing algorithms
  • Network and serial communication knowledge
  • Control of electronic devices
