Position Overview:

The Service NPI Manager is part of Product Serviceability and Service Readiness within our Central Service organization, enabling flawless New Product Introduction and getting the service organization ready for newly released products.

As Manager, you will build and lead a team of 10 senior NPI leads/architects globally. This improvement oriented role will cover building an integral approach to Product deployment to the field, locked in the process to increase and drive Field Self Sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimally drive the process to deploy service strategy and execution for New Product Introduction for MSD Products and Services.
  • Advocate for excellence in Project/Program Management and technical transfer to service, with the goal of delivering high-quality products while bringing value to the organization within the agreed-upon schedule, resources, budget, and scope.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth integration and timely execution of new product launches.
  • Establish and track important performance metrics to measure progress, identify obstacles, and use data to make informed decisions that enhance processes and boost productivity.

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys solving complex technical issues in a multidisciplinary, multicultural team. If you're passionate about developing software solutions for high-performance systems, this is a great chance to make an impact.

The successful candidate will possess or can develop the following combination of education and experience:

  • Experience in Product Development , Process and Project management
  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related technical software field.
  • Experience in project management
  • Leading small team
  • Consistent track record in a similar technical position over 5 years
  • Knowledge of electron microscopy will be an advantage

Required soft skills include adaptable communication and a proactive approach with a focus on customer service. An outgoing personality, influence skills, and the ability to explain complex technical ideas to different audiences are essential for successful project navigation.
