Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degrees, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Position Summary:

To coordinate and participate in shipping, receiving, storage, availability and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts and equipment at the assigned facility(s). To maintain high levels of stock accuracy within the manufacturing plant. Ensure all inventory issuance and shipments receipted accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

Either directly or indirectly via supervision:

  • Picks, packs, sorts, arranges, counts, stores, and accurately processes items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements while sustaining a high level of quality to ensure customers receive correct product and in the time requested
  • Receives materials and/or finished goods daily. Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are accurate and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
  • Works in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature, cold-room, and/or freezer-room
  • Operates distribution equipment safely, as required
  • Completes Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements to company satisfaction and operates within all ISO standards pertaining to site Distribution including, but not limited to, Control of Documents and Quality Policy
  • Provides training and coaching to peers.
  • Maintain the overall Accuracy of Inventory in production
  • Regular Stock rotation and stock checking to maintain accurate stock levels in SAP
  • Stock Expiry checking and review
  • Production Process Orders - goods receipting and issuing in SAP
  • Production stock picking, put away and system transfer (SLOC)
  • Lead control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.
  • General housekeeping
  • Consumable monitoring and reordering, if required placing Purchase Orders
  • Responds to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements and/or fulfillment issues.
  • Operates PC applications and systems including Microsoft Excel

  • Freight Forwarding
  • Consumable Vendors if required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Desirable - SAP or similar ERP experience
  • Requires a minimum of 3-6 years related experience in a warehousing environment
