Are you passionate about science and global health with a desire to make contributions that improve access to quality healthcare for patient populations in low- and middle-income country markets? Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join our team and drive marketing initiatives for our Global Health Equity (GHE) business.

As the Senior Marketing Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and implement marketing plans for our global health programs, with a focus on customer segmentation, competitor analysis, and market opportunities. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment with the GHE strategic direction and successfully implement engaging marketing campaigns that generate awareness and drive demand.

Location: Flexible. Candidate can be located in South Africa or Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing plans for areas of responsibility, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, and market opportunities
  • Implement engaging marketing campaigns to generate awareness and drive demand
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with GHE strategic direction
  • Maintain campaign metrics dashboards to measure the efficiency of marketing activities
  • Propose and complete customer and market research programs to provide key market insights
  • Maintain knowledge of global health programs and trends in infectious and non-communicable disease areas
  • Provide input on marketing and technical resources needed for quality training of sales representatives
  • Handle marketing budgets and optimize the promotional mix for high return on investment
  • Act as a global brand ambassador, upholding our multi-brand strategy in all marketing programs
  • Partner with internal and external personnel for direct customer communication, KOL engagement, and public presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Life Sciences or Marketing, Communications or Business, with previous work experience in clinical, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry
  • 5 - 7+ years of validated hands-on experience in marketing roles in genomics, molecular biology, or molecular diagnostic sectors
  • Quick study of global health funder community, i.e. WHO, Global Fund, PEPFAR, US CDC, United Nations, World Bank
  • Successful track record working in sophisticated global and matrix environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Adept at building and managing relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Ability to manage project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%
