Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the field of supply chain management? Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Senior Manager, Supply Chain. A day in the Life:

  • Design and carry out effective strategies to streamline site level supply chain operations and boost overall efficiency within the areas of Procurement, Production Planning, and Material Control
  • Lead and develop a team of supply chain and warehouse professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure daily execution of supply chain activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mid to long range capacity and supply plans for the monthly SIOP process reviews.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation and supplier management.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and effective strategies to successfully implement innovative supply chain solutions.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous learning within the supply chain team.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Required - Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred - MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain or Operations Management

Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise of at least 8 years in supply chain management, emphasizing process improvement and effective decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams that consistently achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Strong drive and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strict adherence to ethical business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Electronics manufacturing and traditional warehouse setting with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements including but not limited to safety glasses protection and closed toed footwear.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting required.
