Our Finland locations include Vantaa and Joensuu, employing over 800 professionals in R&D, production, supply chain, quality, marketing, sales, and administrative support. We hire experts in different fields including engineering, chemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics. Our Vantaa site develops laboratory automation solutions, clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry analyzers and assays, food safety kits, pipettes and other diagnostics and research solutions. How you will make an impact?

As Senior Program Manager you will have the unique opportunity to lead a strategic product development program for our clinical diagnostics business. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of multiple projects within a program to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals and customer requirements. Essential role is to lead and guide R&D work and cross-functional program team effectively managing schedule, budget and reporting activities for the program. Senior Program Manager role requires combination of critical thinking, and interpersonal skills to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex engineering programs from conception to completion, ensuring timely and flawless execution within scope and budget.
  • Develop and implement program strategy, objectives and plans in alignment with the product roadmap and business goals.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project managers and multi-functional team members within the program.
  • Monitor and report on program progress, providing updates to senior leadership.
  • Manage and engage collaborators, including partners and customers, to understand their needs and expectations. Develop strong relationship with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and support.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure projects have the vital tools, personnel, and support. Adjust as needed to optimize efficiency.
  • Successfully implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Project Management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in program management within an engineering environment.
  • Outstanding leadership and team-building skills, capability to lead and empower cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to perform and lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or other relevant project management certification.
  • Experience working in a global organization.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
