The Position

The Platform Program Portfolio Manager is a key leader responsible for defining,planning, executing, and deploying capital equipment development projects frominception to internal product teams adoption.As XDB Platform Program Manager, you will be responsible for the definition,coordination, and execution of XDB platform related activities spanning all XDBproducts

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • Lead the XDB Platform-related activities at the Program level across R&D,
    Advanced Technology, Business Units, and Operation Engineering.
  • Lead a team of Project Managers.
  • Own XDB Platform Roadmap and coordinate it with Advanced Technology,
    Digital Science, and Business Units.
  • Drive development of modules to be integrated into multiple XDB platforms and all needed subsystems.
  • Be accountable for developing and driving technology and product delivery
    roadmap in alignment with Business Units and STRAP.
  • Appropriately respond to evolving customer needs.
  • Work with functional managers on competency management and development.
  • Partner with technical leads and architects.
  • Promote and support innovations within the program.
  • Work in compliance with legislation and IMS

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in program management, preferably including programs spanning HW and SW.
  • Experience in building diverse teams and implementing strategic plans.
  • Proven track record in building consensus among key partners that may not be under your management's control.
  • Strong communication skills are required due to the cross-functional and technically sophisticated role.
  • Adequately technically savvy for direct discussions and facilitating decision-making.
  • Can balance rigor of project execution and divergent thinking of innovation phases.
  • Ability to acquire a valid passport and travel internationally as required.

  • Able to translate strategies into tangible deliverables for team to implement.
  • Able to manage and resolve complex strategic and operational issues and interactions between programs.
  • Independent and creative problem solver and enabler requiring minimum oversight. A self-starter who is proactive, motivated, and has tact, diplomacy, and true teammate and leadership skills.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills including negotiation, managing meetings and group dynamics, ability to balance concerns of line management with objectives of cross-functional team.
  • Ability to influence people at all levels in the organization without authority.
  • Management and leadership of complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making ability, including the ability to synthesize complex and diverse inputs to a problem, and recommend solutions/preferred options.
  • Ability to operate and empower a team in a completely matrix environment.
  • Fluency (spoken and written) in English, willing to learn Czech.
  • Hire skilled employees to the development team.
  • Evaluate employee performance and establish their development plans.
