Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Manager, QA to join our world-class team in Brno. As the Sr Manager of Quality Assurance, you will have the unique opportunity to lead the quality team supporting our Mining and Minerals business. You will be responsible for ensuring flawless quality planning, regulation monitoring, QMS integration, and improvement activities.

In this role, you will establish quality objectives that align with business unit needs and drive down the cost of poor quality. You will collaborate and align with corporate and divisional partners, lead executive quality management reviews, and drive operational excellence in key quality processes. Additionally, you will engage key teams to ensure product launches of the highest quality.

A Day in the Life:

  • Establish quality objectives that align with business unit needs and drives down the cost of poor quality.
  • Collaborate and align with corporate & divisional partners regarding quality issues, audits, and special projects.
  • Lead executive quality management reviews.
  • Drive operational excellence in key quality processes by effectively using continuous improvement skills and tools.
  • Lead effective and timely resolution to product and process CAPAs, ensuring conformance to ISO 9001 standard requirements.
  • Engage key teams to complete NPDI deliverables ensuring product launches of the highest quality.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory organization to ensure compliance to applicable regulations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering Disciplines, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of quality experience, preferably within the Life Sciences, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical Industry, or IVD industry
  • Ability to practically implement quality systems (ISO 9001) that provide necessary controls
  • Experience in leading the mechanisms necessary for effective operational execution of a quality assurance organization
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage from and across remote locations
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
