Job Description

Responsibilities:

IT Architecture:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient IT architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements in China.
  • Manage the China IT application portfolio, ensuring systems are modern, cloud-native, and integrated seamlessly with global platforms.
  • Review current internal and vendor solution/design proposal. Drive architectural modernization initiatives, focusing on reducing system complexity, optimizing costs, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with global architecture teams to adopt enterprise frameworks, adapting them to meet the specific needs of the China business.
  • Deliver end-to-end architecture services, including technical stack selection, data flow, and system integration, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and security in all solutions.
  • Stay current on trends in technology architecture, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and support business growth.

Security & Compliance:

  • Act as the local interface for the global Cybersecurity & Information Security (CIS) team, ensuring China's IT systems comply with global security standards and local cybersecurity laws.
  • Ensure coordination with the CIS team to implement global security frameworks, including data protection, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer regulations, in line with China's legal landscape.
  • Provide guidance on security requirements during the design of IT architectures, ensuring robust security measures are built into the architecture from the ground up.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and service providers to align IT architecture solutions with business goals and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on architecture-related initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered with high architectural standards and within set timelines.
  • Promote best practices in IT architecture across teams, fostering a collaborative environment to share knowledge and leverage cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in IT solution architecture, with a focus on multinational environments. Significant experience leading architecture modernization projects, including cloud-native development and legacy system optimization.
  • Enterprise Architecture Knowledge: Strong familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, with experience applying these principles to large-scale projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Expertise in cloud platforms, data integration, and modern application development methodologies. Experience in system integration, cloud-native applications, and digital platforms (AI, analytics, automation) is preferred.
  • Security Knowledge: Working knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy laws in China, and familiarity with global security standards. Experience working with security teams to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with global stakeholders. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
