Job Description

We are looking for a Senior ERP IT Technical Project Manager to join our ambitious team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. This outstanding opportunity allows you to coordinate SDG's ERP transformation strategy by leading complex and simultaneous projects. In this role, you'll work with various divisions and our shared services teams, ensuring that projects are completed flawlessly and strictly adhere to our high-quality standards. Your proven leadership skills and business insight will be crucial in successfully implementing large-scale strategic ERP projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set-up and lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, project approvals (Appropriation Requests), design, configuration, development, testing, validation, implementation, documentation, training, and closure.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, prioritization, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, status updates, and collaborator communications.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, including business analysts, developers, consultants, and other collaborators.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and collaborators.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members, including senior management, business units, and external partners.
  • Serve as the main contact for project-related questions and blocking issues.
  • Foster collaboration and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives among all involved parties.
  • Coordinate system configuration, customization, integration, and testing activities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, business, engineering, or other related field.
  • Extensive experience in ERP project leadership, with proven experience in managing full-cycle ERP projects.
  • Strong experience with SAP S4 HANA.
  • Experience with developing arguments, storytelling, and preparing and delivering oral presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with senior leaders.
  • Experience in life sciences is preferred.
  • PMP or other globally recognized project management certification preferred.
  • SAP certifications.
