Senior DSPD Lab Scientist, Process Development (m/f/d)
Location: Lengnau, BE, Switzerland
In this position, you work with the project lead to plan, perform and evaluate downstream process development studies for our clients as part of the technical DSPD project team, and share the planning and outcome with the customer. You are a key player for our day-to-day lab activities with responsibility over specific equipment, lab areas, lab consumable and chemicals. In addition, you participate in the strategic development of our process technology platform
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform process development studies according to study protocols. Support result collection and analysis. Document execution and results according to good documentation practices.
- Support the study lead in establishing study documents, such as study plan, electronic lab book protocols, study presentations and study report.
- Act as equipment responsible, ensuring maintenance and the preparation of standard operating procedures for equipment and/or methods. Take ownership for housekeeping, coordination and safety for specific lab areas.
- Contributes to the technology platform by planning, performing and analyzing targeted development activities and evaluations.
- Occasional week-end work is required. Infrequently, international travel (≤5%) and participation at international calls throughout various time zones may be requested.
Your profile:
- Degree (M.Sc. or PhD.) in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.), Dipl. Ing. or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in recombinant protein purification and/or protein analytics from an industrial or academic setting, minimally 2 years for candidates with a Master's degree. Prior exposure to GxP is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, self-organization, can-do attitude and problem-solving skills, coupled with a customer-centric focus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Reliable teammate that excels in a multicultural, international environment
- Language skills: English (Minimally good working proficiency) and German (beneficial)
