Job Description

What will you do?

The New Product Development (NPD) team is responsible for all aspects of design and development of our control software and controller products for the Single Use Technologies market within BioProduction.

Our Bioreactor Control Software, TruBio, is developed on the DeltaV Platform, and we continuously maintain and improve this product.

We, the Product Development team also collaborate with other business units within our organizations, to build new software products and bioreactor controllers with embedded control.

  • Work with R&D and Product management team to design and develop new automation products
  • Work with product management to develop product roadmaps
  • Lead software/hardware development projects and be able to run numerous projects
  • Provide software and hardware support to other groups within the organization
  • Investigate, diagnose, and provide fixes for software product bugs
  • Write Knowledge Based Articles for software products
  • Accurately assess project risks associated with development activities
  • Accurately assess work efforts required to implement solutions
  • Some foreign travel will be required

How will you get here?

  • Experience with PLC/DCS system design and configuration
  • Experience with communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, Modbus RTU, OPC and Profibus
  • Knowledge of Control System Architectures
  • Experience with embedded control architecture
  • Have worked in GMP environment
  • Highly effective verbal and written skills, including technical writing
  • BS/BA Degree. Preferably a Scientific or Engineering degree
  • Experience in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries
  • Knowledge of cGMP process and requirements for software development
