COMPANY: LOCATION: TITLE: HOURS: DUTIES: TRAVEL: REQUIREMENTS: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc. 777 Mariposa Street, San Francisco, CA 94107 Scientist III, Process Development Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Lead the advancement and refinement of process development for both autologous and allogeneic cell therapy workflows, focusing on enhancing costeffectiveness, accelerating timelines, and elevating product quality. Work with blood cells or stem cells and routinely perform cell selection and activation, engineering (viral and non-viral), expansion, and cryopreservation Design experiments, analyze data and present data to internal and external collaborators or customers. Serve as a process development subject matter providing solutions to technical challenges and offering support for laboratory investigations. Collaborate within customer core teams as the designated technical lead for the project. Oversee all project-related tasks, including ensuring the availability and suitability of materials and equipment necessary for executing assignments. Coordinate the hand-off of samples for downstream processes and/or testing. Maintain meticulous and precise laboratory notes to ensure accuracy and traceability. Contribute to the development of closed automated platforms that will be used for cell therapy manufacturing. Work closely with clients for technology transfer activities, and with MS&T and Operations teams to transfer optimized process for clinical manufacturing and trouble-shooting process challenges. Plan and implement resolutions to technical problems. Up to 10% domestic and international required. MINIMUM Education Requirement: Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering or related field of study. MINIMUM Experience Requirement: 5 years of experience as a Process Development Scientist, Biologist or a related occupation. Alternative Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering or related field of study and 8 years of experience as a Process Development Scientist, Biologist or a related occupation. 56086028.v1-IMMIGRATION Required knowledge or experience with: • Cell Culture; • Aseptic Cell processing such as: T cells, NK cells, CAR-T, and Stem Cells; • Viral or non- viral genetic modification; • ISO 5 biosafety cabinets while using universal precautions for handling of human-derived materials; and • Cell therapy automation technologies, closed system culture vessels, cell washers, cell separation technologies for autologous and allogenic product manipulation. Salary: $166,400.00 to $186,000.00 per year #LI-DNI

Compensation and Benefits
The salary pay range estimated for this position Scientist III, Process Development based inCalifornia is $166,400.00-$186,000.00.
