The Position

The NanoPort Team is responsible for providing technical and scientific expertise in the support of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Global sales efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and training customers after the sale has been made and the system is signed off. Assisting Thermo Fisher Service Engineers on instrument sign offs and specific customer test, provided these were sold to customers as Non-Standard Request.
  • An expert Electron Microscopist to be involved with a diverse team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.
  • Encouraging positive customer relationships and a high-level customer interface for specific instrument / applications issues, explaining complex technology details related to solutions and applications to scientific or industrial high-value problems.
  • Assist and execute demo system owners in performing high quality product demonstrations, including the development of new techniques and applications for Thermo Fisher partners and customers.
  • This customer focused position is ideal for an experienced Electron Microscopist wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.
  • Assist lab manager/team leader for lab process operation

Requirements:

  • Master degree is the minimum requirement, doctoral degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a relevant commercial/research/production establishment applying SEM/SDB/FIB/TEM technology in sample characterization.
  • Knowledge of advanced technology and troubleshooting, operational optimization experience of analytical equipment for materials/life science.
  • Excellent, hard-working, good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with a diverse audience are essential to the success of this position.
  • Excellent customer interfacing and technical sales skills a must.
  • Proven track record to interact with cross - functional and cross - cultural teams.
  • Ability to travel both domestically as well as internationally and possession of a valid passport.
  • Language: proficient English and Chinese a must
